I covered the whole canvas with it and then went with a toothbrush and made a pattern. I had no plan I just started doing something. I also used tape to create the lines of the base layer. I used acrylic paint for the medium. I developed the painting by painting over the base layer but not totally over so you can still see the pink in some parts. I completed the color scheme and added a pop to the painting. I used acrylic paint and a toothbrush after I painted to create the feathery transitions between colors.  This is helping to add complexity to the painting by adding more colors. I am proudest of the way I transition through the colors to make it look seamless. I have having the challenge of not knowing what else to do with my piece. I know it needs more added to it but I don't want to make it worse but it needs something more. I could get help by asking my peers for what they would do if they were me. I added these white chevron lines to create more movement and to add something unpredictable to the piece. I am trying to bring unity to the piece by making sure all the colors work together and there is balance and repetition throughout the piece. I am struggling with when to know I am done with a piece because I know I could do more with it but I don't want to mess it up. I have more of a repetition in my piece not pattern. My color scheme involves blues, pinks, black, and silver. I used a variety of values usually it goes from dark to light. Also how I tried new things and it payed off and looks way better as the days got on. I maybe would have started off with a different background because I had a hard time figuring out what to do after the background was done.
