I think the author thinks of Jacob as a role model, an inspiration, and a guy who was just a boy when he was drawn from home. He went through a lot just to go to school. He was one of the lost boys.

I think the book is called "The Hare in the Elephant's Trunk" because of the stories that was told when he first went to school, Also because Jacob was also been given the nickname "Jacob the Hare" due to him scratching his ears, having long feet, and the ability to run very fast.

I think it is called Hare in the Elephants Trunk because Jacob is a clever hare, like in the story he told when he was younger. the Elephant symbolizes the war; big, and scary. He told a story of an Elephant and Hare. The hare outwitted the Elephant, and Jacob got through this war. He never lost hope to find his way with his skills.

I think the Author wrote this book to inspire the reader that we can't take things for granted, It also shows that how they could be a leader and how important education is.
