To all of the 8th grade students moving on to high school. We know this isn't how you thought you would end your middle school years, it isn't how we thought they would end either. Remember, you can do WHATEVER you set your mind to if you have a positive attitude and work hard for it. I have loved all of my teachers this year. They, along with the staff, have been incredible. I will miss Del Webb. I have made life long friends, memories, and jokes at this school. For while this seemed strange (which it was), every day will present you with another new "strange" . This has been quite an abnormal year for Del Webb (and for our world). But, we made it! I just want to let you know that I care deeply about you guys and if you ever need someone to talk to or just listen to you, I will always be "here" for you. You can always email me or stop by DW. Some of you I have known since you were FIVE YEARS OLD and it has been the sweetest thing to watch you grow and mature! A little advice for high school- PLEASE DON'T GET SO CAUGHT UP IN POPULARITY that you lose sight of what's most important and who you really are. Social media 'likes', 'views', comments, 'friends'- none of that truly matters in the real world. Make a name for yourself be being a good person and doing good things! You'll live of life of regret if you don't. Last thing- just because you're in high school now doesn't mean vaping is okay. It's still stupid, dangerous, and NOTHING good will come of it. So just DON'T! =)
***And remember, YOU MATTER and YOU BELONG HERE (no matter how low you feel)!!!!

gosh, i can't believe im going to high school already--this is crazy!! im going to miss everyone, my teachers and friends that i wont see. i loved the years that ive spend at del webb making friends and learning new things every day, even things about myself. Good luck to all the eighth graders entering high school! High school may be challenging and difficult for some of the eighth graders entering a new place and a new environment, but I know that the eighth graders will persevere and get through high school!
