The second (b) act "causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;" the third (c) act "Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;" and the fifth (e), "Forcibly transferring children of the group into another group" are all genocidal acts that relate to what happend to Indigenous peoples. A lot of serious bodily and mental harm was inflicted on mainly children in this genocide as they were forced to go to Residential schools where many students unfortunately faced horrible abuses such as physical and psychological abuse. The 1876 Indian Act determined whether or not an "Indian" person could have Indian Status based on male lineage; meaning most Indigenous people (mainly women) did not have status which also means they no longer had the same rights as those who did.
