All too well.

Are you real? There was a girl whose never been the one to cry. She lived through drama but never has she's been dramatic. She was never too weak for this world. You wouldn't catch her crying at the movies and books. She'll probably not write these words. And I wonder if she'd been real.

The breaking point. Then there was everything, all at once. Pandemic. Her father. Her family. And the brown paper bag on the bathroom door. And she's not the innocent sweet child not to care anymore. She's so aware, it started to hurt.

The reeling. She's been thinking to get a butterfly drawing on her wrist. Because she was a poem, and she was "Absolutely nothing." A moment of reeling and white, she will make her mother extremely sad, and that will kill her more.

The remembering. Words may be fictional, but they are true stories. Michael Dobson, were you healed? Evelyn Hugo, were you happy? Berry Lacsamana, are you well? Literature may or may not turn out to be real, but it is also a place to be human. I fight with them, suffer with them, and learn from them. I ache with them, but they are also my escape, and they give me hope. People are evil and people are good, you can choose whoever you want to be, but you will still cross the endless path to the truth. I will write poems about it, and look back to the memories, but I must survive it first.

LITERATURE IS LIFE.

- A life so short can survive in written pages, of what remains unspoken, but forever told, and so much alive. Literature is the reflection of society. Every human experience, emotion, and tragedy, as well as evolution and revolution, are portrayed in literature. What we consume is who we are. Literature inspires collective reflection and held life lessons. We trust and believe in literature with our soul, that it deeply affects us, and resonate with us. All of these words may be a valuable lesson for others or a dangerous virtue for some to apply in life. To sum it up, literature is reality.

IT ALSO PAINTS MAN IN HIS QUEST FOR THE TRUTH.

- Literature makes a man face all that is served and what he deserved in life.

THEY [LITERATURE AND LIFE] WALK ALONGSIDE, HOLD EACH OTHER'S HAND, AND LEAVE THEIR MARK ON THE SAND.

- Literature and life are inseparable. What comes around life goes around literature, and vice versa. What humans fail to deliver will be dealt with in literature eventually. Human tragedies can be written, and what can be written could happen. Literature is the most transparent way to see through people. They inspire each other, and always come in one.

GLARING SHADOW OF FEAR.

- When fear takes over a person, and manifests itself visibly.

LET LITERATURE PAINT THE COLOR OF A MEANINGFUL LIFE IN THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE.

- A human being is the fragments of every poetry ever glued together. We are never lost in translation in literature, though these words are inexplicable and profound, they can always find a way to mean in our lives, to feel like us. Nothing ever ends poetically. Once black and white is now heaven and hell and will be life and death. When the heart is scientifically proven to not express love, literature will tell you it can, and it is as meaningful and colourful, and I think that's beautiful. When nothing does not explain anything, literature can translate it to everything, and it will be meaningful and impactful nonetheless, and I think that's where it lies in our hearts.

Sweet mother,

Ever so quiet and proud, sweet mother, never you deserved any of this. The dreams you have for you and me, which the pandemic deprived you to thrive, will be in my prayers. And I hope the dreams you keep to yourself will also come true, maybe years later, or in another lifetime. I hope you find peace within you. All of these problems which the world enraged you, and the family blamed you, and your mother calmed you, will be over soon. I want to see you genuinely happy again, in a very well state of mind, and with a hopeful look in your eyes. I will always be grateful to God for he prevented you from COVID-19, and I hope he listens too when I pray for your healing in the matter of the heart. When you loved the rainbows, I know you can get through the rain. When the world's too much, I am your child and your shoulder, together with the soul of my almost sibling, we will love you dearly. You always said that you wanted to be brave, but you've always been brave. Simply because you make me braver. You are the subject of the writer in me. You are an artistically woven person, and I will write you perfectly in every poem, letter, and novel. When it is written, you will be told forever. And there will be happiness.

Tinatangi,
Alexine Comia.
