         <description><![CDATA[<div>Problem: The United States Federal government had implemented tariffs on Northern goods.  <br><br>Reaction: The southerners had felt and stated that "The North was getting rich at the South's expense."<br><br>Solution: In order to solve this problem. Vice president Calhoun had essentially said that the south had the right to nullify a federal law if they felt it were "Unconstitutional."</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>PROBLEM- Jackson though it would be better if the Native Americans were to live on a different land. <br><br>REACTION- Jacksons side thought it was also a great idea, and the other side, only three tribes out of the others agreed to move. certain tribe, the Cherokees, didn't start war with the other side, instead they took it to court, which is uncommon.<br><br>SOLUTION-  Jackson, knowing that the Natives did not have to move, made them move anyway, the Natives walk 2,200 miles, at gun point.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Problem - President Andrew Jackson thought that it would be a good idea to remove all of the Native Americans from their land.<br><br>Reaction - The Cherokee tribe went to supreme court because they felt like the state of Georgia had no right to force them to leave. In 1832 the Supreme Court ruled that they weren't entitled to leave. <br><br>Solution - The Treaty of New Echota was created were 8 million acres of Cherokee land was exchanged for $5 million and "Land west of Mississippi." However after this still 20,000 Native Americans after this so they were help at gun point and forced to march west and about 1/4 of the Cherokees would die from this march.  </div>]]></description>

So that their could be an increase in population as well as more room for textile mills.<br><br>Reaction: The Natives had responded to this in fury. Specifically, the Cherokee tribe had stated that "Georgia had no right to force them to leave their homes.<br><br>Solution: Ultimately, they came to another issue when the the Cherokee refused to leave their land. So Jackson had ordered his men to hold them at gunpoint until they left their land.</div>]]></description>
