I partly agree and partly disagree. Let's take Mcdonald as an example. Hamburgers are American styled food. In Hong Kong, to suit the needs and taste of Hong Kongers, rice can replace the breads of hamburgers. But rice are formed in the "bread shape" instaed of the tranditional "bowl of rice with chopsticks". Cultures are mixed and adjusted, like a colaboration. When eating the "rice burger" as I mentioned in the example, both Chinese and American cultures are promoted. 1. I think the future development is that globalization in restaurants will be more trendy. Cultural globalisation on food is creative in the way creating different kinds of new styled food or dished that makes people want to take a try on the food. It is common-place for us to see different kinds of styled food combine together such as "Indo noodles with Siu Mai", where Indo culture is combined with Cantonese culture. Also, Mcdonalds is fast to serve and eat, with high efficiency on the progress of food making, which is also an appealling point as it saves time cost. 
2. The cost for Hong Kong to development globalisation is the loss of local culture.
