Padlet is a great way to ensure there is discussion. I think having a discussion goal that is specific to students allows for more accountability (they can't just copy/paste someone else's answer). For example--discuss how you connect to a character.

Since (most of) our students are used to video games, I think the idea of sometimes gameifying quick checks/ formative assessments throughout the learning process. Kahoot is a great tool, and when I have used it as a test review in the past, my kids have loved it. I've used SeeSaw before for many years but only for communicating with parents. I had no idea it had so many good resources available. I love that SeeSaw can be used as part of the technology center and can be so engaging for the students. Plus the parents are able to see what they are doing and it gives them something to talk about at home about there school day.

I am so far behind in technology, so I need more practice in using it in my classroom. I see Padlet as a great way to help my students review content and to help me to assess what they gained from a lesson. I also think, with A LOT more practice, I can use Nearpod as a tool to create lesson plans.

I definitely want to get away from the traditional sit-and-get because I see too much disengagement with this model of teaching. If I don't have enough data on where students are in the beginning of a lesson unit, I plan to use an Anticipation guide to determine where my students are in their familiarity of the content. Moving forward, I would like to utilize other resources my district has available for remediation programs. I want to give students a variety of resources to use for the online learning stations. I've been using Vernier Connects, but this only allows me to have the same concept for students, but adjust the reading level or the wording of questions into two categories: approaching or mastery. One thing that I've find fascinating is that when a strategy works on students to focus to frame a problem path to being solved is that it always works. That is with either algorithms and/or proccesses such as the part-part whole strategy to structure the mental abstract features of symbols, models, and known information to solving a word problem. Now, with the understanding of blended learning, I get a glimpse of the importance of, not only placing them in their devices to only oversee trial and error findings, but to reinforce with students this practical tool by overlaying different disciplines when students need to read a problem in SEESAW and using the strategy to solve the word problems. With station-rotation, I can have this strategy in the word problem center with an expo-marker and a mat displaying a part-part whole set and have this same display in SEESAW when applying the work in problems presented with either domino excercises, reading word-problems, and/or games that require to fill out the missing parts of a part-part whole mat on a digital image on SEESAW while working in the kidney table with students struggling with such task.

We are currently trying to implement the collaborative feature for blended learning. I feel like we have the technology and small groups working really well, but we need to expand the model. My teachers create excellent playlists that allow student choice and I think it is successful. We are just trying to add one new thing each year

I strongly believe in the power to develop lessons such as decodable book stories with questions. For instance, downloading lessons such as decodable books as the one above offer students the opportunity to spirar review in computer time if done with other activities. In looking through the 20 Collaborative Tools link, I believe that Pear Deck looks like something I could definitely use in my 8th grade American History classes. One useful collaboration tool I learned about is Padlet. Padlet allows students to share ideas, post responses, upload images, and collaborate on a digital board in real time. I could use Padlet in my bilingual classroom for brainstorming, vocabulary activities, exit tickets, and group discussions. It encourages participation from all students and provides a space where they can learn from one another while demonstrating their understanding of a topic. Padlet is also easy to use and helps increase both engagement and accountability.

I downloaded Nearpod because it says I can create interactive lessons which is great for kinder.

I also downloaded Lumio by Smart because it says it will transform your lessons into active, collaborative learning experiences.

My goal is to establish consistent structures in my 4th-grade ELAR/SLAR classroom and collaborate with my partner teacher so that students experience similar blended-learning routines in both Social Studies and Science, creating a more seamless learning experience throughout the day. I am excited to use the Padlet for discussions in my 3rd grade classroom. I have always wanted a more effective way to get students involved in discussions and keep them accountable for their learning. I think Padlet has become my answer. I also like that students can post images and videos to support their responses. I can see students eager to post and demonstrate their learning to their peers.

The best strategy I have learned so far is having simple but meaningful stations to meet all students learning needs. By using the data from informal/formal assessments, I can create my stations to fill in missing gaps of content, reteach a concept students are still struggling with, and challenge those that have mastered what we have been learning.

Students tend to struggle the most with understanding the purpose of adjusting the settings of the camera because they just don't understand what they do, or better yet they try using an auto setting when I'm not paying attention, or they think I'm not. With the camera simulator they are able to take the same photo multiple times and get different results, and get see the reasons why, so that hopefully when they go out to take their actual photos they'll have a better understanding of why the photo came out a certain way.

Padlet is a good tool to have if you need a sub and don't have time to put a sub folder together since already use to using it as part of their daily assignments than they just have to follow it while the teacher is out if other work is finished than they have an alternat means of keeping busy during the day while teachers work in small groups\

The blended learning model that would give me the best "bang for my buck" right now is Station Rotation. Having three or four groups rotate through purposeful learning stations is something I could realistically implement within the first few weeks of school. This model provides opportunities for teacher-led instruction, collaborative learning, and independent practice, while allowing instruction to be differentiated based on students' individual learning needs.

One strategy I discovered was using Soundtrap Edu to incorporate music into learning. It made me think about how many students can recall every word to their favorite songs yet struggle to remember key facts taught in class. Using music and student-created lyrics is a creative way to reinforce learning, increase engagement, and support long-term retention of academic content.
