After John W. Booth's father death he started his acting profession. He performed in many plays along side his older brothers Junius Jr. and Edwin Booth. Then one day on November 9th, 1863 he performed at a play that hosted the current president at the time Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln stated that he thought John W. Booth was a fine actor and he performed the play wonderfully. The way this turned out, it could have stopped Lincoln and Booth from becoming enemies.
