An icon is a very famous person or thing considered as representing a set of beliefs or a way of life. Some musics stars become icons. Take the example of Eminem. How by his miserable life of youth has he come to a much better life and how did he become an influencer and icon ?
Firstly, we will talk about his life. CBS interview Eminem in is article "eminem's incredible rise to stardom, talking about that succes story but  also about his family, of his song and his film. So in this article eminem tells,he's been fighting since he was a kid living on the raugh side of detroit 's 8 mile is also the title of the critically acclaimed an aspiring white rapper with a dead end job , a troubled mother and a dream of escamping his bleak life.
In his real life, he grew up with a single mom and constantly making from one place to another and change schools two or three time in one year. 
After dropping out of high school he starts rap battle. For a while people underestimated eminem because he is a white and this is predominantly black music. He read a lot of the dictionary to print all the words. We can conclude that,Eminem did not have an easy life. He suffered anti white racism to global respect.
In his songs Eminem puts message like in the song "lose yourself " in his lyrics Eminem tells " you only got one shot, do not miss your chance to blow .this opportunity comes once in a life time " that he feels lonely because he makes "lonely roads "and"he goes home and barely knows his own daughter " . This is at first it was no easy. 
Thanks to his fans, his opportunity, his hard work it helped him to become an influencial person and an icon in his own right. We see that eminem wants to send a message to everyone in each generation from the yougest to the oldest so that each person has to opportunity and succeeds in his life like him.
The marvellets have a lots of thing in commun with eminem. The marvellets is a group started singing they knew how to influence teenagers. The group started singing in churches. The group and eminem are from Detroit. And we can notice that eminem and the group in commun point both started in places littles knows To a big scene.
