Let's be honest here, I'M A HUMAN??

so... I don't know what its like to feel prejudice over species????
I mean.. I think every organism should be respected...
And it isn't just my lifestyle.
Okay- I can't just NOT eat anything, okay?? I mean.. vegetarians don't eat eat to protect animals, so obviously I'm going to not eat ANYTHING in order to preserve life, and decrease human population.

I think things should have to be treated with respect.. and I try to do that..? If anything, humans shouldn't get too much respect... considering the terrible things we've done and the terrible things we've yet to do.
I think you should treat people with respect, unless they're complete jerks to you...

I believe that only sentient animals have moral status. I believe this because each animal, humans and animals included, have a spirit and a soul, so they can feel things. This means that in a way they are no different than humans. For example, think about when only men had rights or were considered important. If you were to say animals had no moral status because they were at a disadvantage evolution or position wise, that would basically, back then, you would be saying that women did not have moral status and only men did. And I don't think everything has a moral status because they don't have a soul. If you were to tell me, "Then how come I fell bad when I throw my stuffed animal.", I would say that you only feel bad because you have an emotional attachment to it. Your body finds it as a recognisable safe item. If you chose that only humans and setient animals have moral status you would also have to know why every living thing doesn't have moral status. Then, if you accept that all living things have the moral status you would need to know/explain why not only humans, or not humans and setient animals have moral status. So this is hard to believe in.
