Old MacDonald had a farm is a good song for 2 year olds because it is very repetitive. It practices their cognitive and speech and language skills. You can have the children sing the songs with you as a group. This will help the students to learn the different animal sounds and names of animals (cognitive). For speech and language, the repetitive nature of the song will have the students repeating the same words over and over again which will give them the practice that they need to expand their speech and language skills.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish is a good book for children that are younger. It is very repetitive and has a lot of rhyming. This book helps to develop cognitive skills and language and speech skills as well. You could read the book and have the children finish the sentences as you're reading. This will help to develop their language and speech. You could also encourage them to count along and say the colors of the different fish and pictures. This will help to develop their cognitive skills.

Singing "head, shoulders, knees and toes" with 3 year olds can help to develop their cognitive, physical, speech & language and social skills. When they are singing the song, they are learning the different parts of the body which develops their cognitive skills. This song is pretty active and has the children up out of their seats and pointing to the different body parts which will develop their gross motor skills. For the speech and language skills, they need to sing along with the teacher. At this age, children should be learning to take turns. If the teacher sings the song first to demonstrate it to them and then tells them that it is their turn to sing it with the movements, this will teach the children that taking turns is accepted and should be done when they are with their friends.

Chicka chicka boom boom is a good book for 3 year old children to develop their language skills. It can also help their fine motor skills. The book is repetitive and while you are reading, you can encourage the children to follow along and finish the sentences. The children will also begin to remember how the story goes after a couple of times reading it. While you are reading it to the children, you can have one of them turn the pages for you. This simple extra thing will help develop their fine motor skills which fits under the physical category.
