Negatives:
Compulsory voting does not force a choice. People can always lodge a blank or spoiled ballot paper. Compulsory voting forces people to vote for someone even if they do not like any of the candidates on offer. The introduction would violate personal freedom and personal rights.
Not voting can also be a political statement. A law would prevent it.

As i see it, I would be on the side of the compulsory vote because I consider that in Chile it is something necessary to test the ideas offered by the politicians who are running for office and not to vote for them again.

To begin with, my opinion is that I want Chile to begin to evolve, voting for new candidates for presidents, ministers, mayors, among other politicians who join the candidacy for the elections.
