-This activity would be good if it was done in person such as in the classroom, because then the students could easily mark their numbers with a highlighter rather than having to take the time to change the font text.

We figured out that if four people are playing the game that their numbers appear in a quadrant. Positive communication is ideal to getting farther in two minutes. Possible drawbacks would be students fighting over who gets to go when, and possible instances of bullying if someone takes too long.

We found that a benefit of this game was that it forces the group to communicate to accomplish the same goal. When someone told the group when they were done, the next person could go a lot faster without having to look at the number the previous person highlighted.

One drawback of a game like this would be the competitive nature with it being timed. Unfortunately, students may start to blame their team mates for "taking too long." You can encourage students to support one another and help them find the number they are looking for.

Another team building activity for students at any age is using puzzles. Each group will get a puzzle that is missing one piece. When the group has completed the puzzle except for the piece that is missing, ask them to reflect on how the puzzle represents teamwork. Their response should explain that all pieces (team members) are important and necessary to meet the goal.

Students need to have a clear understanding of instructions and how to do the activity prior to starting. At first, my collaborative group was unsure of how to proceed and we incorrectly played the first round. I didn’t realize this until I read further and saw the videos on how to just change the color of each box. We were changing the color of the actual numbers, which involved a few steps that slowed us way down. However, we were at a disadvantage because we had to do this activity electronically instead of in person. Some students might find themselves in the same situation even if they are doing this activity in person.

This is another team building activity that I have recently seen in a 6th grade classroom. There were 5 people on each team and they tied string around a rubber band and had to work together to stack as many cups as they could with a given time. This was such a fun activity for them and as we played multiple times, I saw them communicating with each other how they can best accomplish their goal, similar to what we did as a collaborative group playing 100 Numbers.
