1. During his time Kwame Nkrumah led for the development in Ghana which were some of his most famous achievements. Examples were the dam of akosombo or the accra timah motorway. He also had an achievement of having a key role in the formation of the African Union. He was actually known for his achievements even outside of Ghana.
2. Kwame Nkrumah education outside of Ghana effected him a lot in terms of how he perceives things. he read a lot of literature people like Karl Marx and Marcus Garvey. This actually led to him being appealed to the ideals of Socialism even more, so the education outside of Ghana made him appeals to Socialism even more. He also agreed with Marcus Garvey and his thoughts of return to black freedom and actually led him to have ideas of a pan African consciousnesses.
3. In 1948 Ghana there was a lot of boycotts and protests. and went against the British and African Patrons. This is because the African Patrons British raise the prices of good to a point in which the people of Ghana couldn't afford it. This actually affected Nkrumah a lot since the British blamed the U GCC for the protests happening and in the end arrested all the members of the U GCC including Nkrumah himself.
4. The effects of Nkrumah's decision to make Ghana a One party state was a negative one. Tis decision actually affected Nkrumah's reputation by making him a dictator to the people of Ghana. Kwame as a ruler took actions by passing acts such as the Preventive detention act which gave him the power to arrest anyone he suspects a threat without even a trial. This combined with the fact he made Ghana a one party state led to people of Ghana rioting against him.
5. The main opposing claims to Nkrumah's legacy was that he gained freedom for the people of Ghana, but then became a dictator to it later on. Kwame Nkrumah helped Ghana a lot by liberating them from colonial rule and by helping the economy. Though later on he became a dictator to gain contempt people, but this backfired greatly. His one party state was viewed horrible by the people Ghana and him arresting people for no reason just opposes him. His dictatorship oppose his whole legacy as at first he was fighting against imperialism, but became something like that again by becoming a dictator.
6. Nkrumah's rule officially ended on February 24,1966 while Kwame was away and out of Ghana for a meeting. On this day he was ousted by the people of Ghana and overthrown with a military coup. This happened because of the questionable actions kwame made by making Ghana a one party state and by passing acts like the Preventive detention act. the people of Ghana reacted positively to this and actually was happy that Ghana was overthrown. A person in the video actually stated that he never saw so much happiness, so it is safe to presume that the people of Ghana like the end of Nkrumah's rule.
