They settled in Richmond, Virginia and owned ranches. They moved to Ohio, just over the Ohio river and lived there until WWII caused them to move to Akron where my grandmother became a "Rosie the Riveter" at Goodyear in Akron.
My dad's family came to Philadelphia in 1815 from Weisbaden, Germany. They settled in various cities in Stark County in Ohio. One family (mine) moved to Summit County. My father's grandfather owned a lot of property in Stow and built many houses in Stow and Cuyahoga Falls that are still standing today.
