-There are dumb and aggressive rabies. 
-Vaccination acts as a preventive measure and it is effective to early infected patient only. 
-Rabies does not infiltrate to the bloodstream but moves retrogradely along the nerve fibers  until reaching the brain. it concentrates in salivary gland.

Immunity is important than cell mediated immunity in this case. B cell with the help of Th2 is differentiated into plasma cell and produce antibody in the animal.

We can get the brain sample (thalamus,pons,medulla and hippocampus) to be processed and for further diagnosis. The gold standard for dx of rabies diagnosis is IFAT. 

The vaccines available are Rabisin and Nobivac. They are both inactivated killed vaccine which require adjuvant.
