1. Both Japanese and European Feudalism had a code of honor. According to Document Three, Solo described the Way of the Samurai, which requires loyalty and devotion. In document four, Malory described what true knighthood is. Motada, in document six, describe his failure and why he is committing suicide. Japanese requires loyalty to a master, but Japan is more militarized. Although, knights follow a code of honor, they benefit from the land they own, compared to the samurai where restricted to only their master and own no property.
2. Social structure (Doc 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7); both had social classes that were significant to a functioning society, but one has knights and the other has samurais
3. Power Struggle (Doc 5,6); Both had loyalty to one ruler; but European had decreed people in power like the pope, but Japan fights for power

Feudalism was essentially created to maintain a power structure. In Japan, there was a clear distinction between a warrior and his master; a samurai's duty was to serve his master until death and if he failed, the samurai must commit suicide. In Europe, knights served the king and were required to be loyal to the crown. However, knights were not tied to the king for they could gain land and manage their own wealth without fear of death

In the post-classical Era, Feudal Europe and Japanese Shogunates both had a system of feudalism in which different classes worked to contribute to the society while having a set of rules that maintained loyalty that the people have to agree within society. Additionally, in both post-classical Era civilizations, the protectors had to be defend and stay loyal to their masters while remaining honorable through the Code of Chivalry and the Way of the Samurai.

What a warrior is (1,2)
Feudal Europe and Feudal Japan have a similar definition of a warrior (that a warrior protects something of value to the society). A notable difference lies in what they are to protect. Feudal Europe emphasized the protection of the church while Japan emphasized the protection of the warrior's master.
Warrior's code (3, 4)
These eras had similar attitudes in the code of a warrior in which that the warrior must always be brave, courteous, loyal, and resilient, and ready to defend at a moment's notice. However, Japan also wanted its warriors to contribute to the society, while Europe put its focus to the king.
Societal Regulation (5, 6, 7)

Feudalism in Japan and Europe have a similar system of devotion and discipline, both upheld by a code of conduct and laws from the religious and political header. A way that Japanese shogunate differentiate from Feudal Europe is that Japan leaned towards moral codes over the European religious statements or laws.
