1.) Bacteria is the foundation of everything and is necessary for all living organisms.

2.) Life is really part of the fabric of a planet like earth. The purpose of life is to be able to reproduce with variation in genetics to improve future generations.

3.) The Miller Experiment was an experiment when several gasses were put into a jar then an electric charge was inserted into the jar then was left for several days. After a couple of days there had been AA formed in the jar and this showed the chemical involvement in the solar system.

4.) Early Earth did not hold oxygen. When oxygen became present it had been a result of photosynthetic organisms. Earth is considered the Goldilocks planet because it is "just right" with temperature and conditions to sustain life.

5.) Life began with little strands of nucleic acids not yet formed into DNA it then evolved.

1) Bacteria has been around longer and are necessary for every chemical process in nature. They are also infinitely more numerous than eukaryotic organisms.

1. Without cake, there would be no icing. Bacteria serves as a base (cake) for developing organisms/other animals (icing). Essentially all life is dependent on bacteria to perform tasks.

2. "A system is which proteins and nucleic acids interact in ways that allow the structure to grow and reproduce."

3. The Miller-Urey experiment established that the conditions that existed in Earth's primitive atmosphere were good enough to produce amino acids. It was recognized as an important breakthrough in the study of the origin in life.

4. Early Earth had methane gas, ammonia, hydrogen gas, and water vapor.
a. Earth's conditions are suited to developing life.

5. no one knows yeET

They have all the " necessary ingredients ", and they are the " heavy lifters " of the ecosystem.
2.
The author defines life as " a system in which proteins and nucleic acids interact in ways that allow the structure to grow and reproduce." and places further emphasis on Darwinian evolution.
3.
Miller mixed gases, the ones that were thought to have made up the atmosphere, in a beaker. He sent an electric shock through the beaker. After awhile, brown goo appeared, with the goo containing amino acids. This supports the theory that life is chemistry.
4.
There was no present oxygen, only harsh gases, and photosynthetic organisms formed and started to produce oxygen, giving rise to life.
               a. Earth could be called the "goldilocks planet" because the conditions were "just right" in order for life to thrive.
