Daycare registrations establish health, safety, and quality standards, covering everything from building codes (like minimum floor space and quiet areas) and staff qualifications (education, background checks) to operational procedures ( emergency plans, medication administration, record-keeping) and required licensing/accereditation by provincial/ territorial government. Key areas include child-to -staff ratios, safe sleep practices and hygiene, with enforcement often involving inspections and potential penalties for non-compliance, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment.

And yesterday I learned about all the above accept we had to finish the call because it was lunch time.

Michelle

The regulation is that we have 2-3 teachers on each floor with toddlers and preschool room to ensure we maintain a good healthy environment... And to ensure we have the staff working on board to help keep the children Active and learning to be safe …. To keep the children safe from sickness we get them to wash hands every now and then before breakfast/lunch and snack .. To ensure we keep them with healthy environment we have the students and the staff to wash hands before doing any crafts or activity .. we ensure the parents that we have any emergencies for fire drills or any emergencies that happens in the facility .. This learns to educate the students to be prepared for their future schooling .

-Madeline

-Madeline
