She began to change the teaching methodology and began to see changes in the students because their biggest problem was that they were dark-skinned and had many problems with each other, but after a boy died she began to see the changes and that everyone they collaborated. She gave them a book to read that left many of them intrigued because she wanted to meet its author and her teacher made a speech with her where they could learn more about history and understand many things in life. Another problem that arose during the movie is that they were going to finish their school year and they did not want to have another teacher because they felt good with her and they already got along with their group, she had many talks to solve that and what she got is have them until the end of school.

It shows the reality that many young people are socially excluded or discriminated in the streets and within the same institution because of racial and gangs problems , these problems were all too common at the time. Despite her lack of experience and the frustration of a bad start with her students, Miss G decides to move forward, even though she does not have the support of the other teachers at the school, and to look for strategies that will allow her to gain the trust of each and every one of them. Like visiting a museum and reading the "Diary of Anne Frank". These actions deeply moved the students, so much so that interracial conflicts in the classroom were put on the back burner, allowing them to take a first step in learning and moving forward. By gaining their trust, I was able to generate a change in their mentality to give them a vision of a better future. Miss G opened the doors for them to choose to be better people.

Erin Gruwell: Erin was very empathetic and friendly with the students, always putting herself in their shoes. She was very brave to support the students even when no one supported her.
Scott Casey: at first he was an polite man. He becomes malicious because Erin because was trying to help teenagers in gangs, was very selfish.
Eva Benitez: Eva was a rude teenager, she had lived through a rough past. At the beginning of the story she was kind of grumpy and we can say she was a rebel girl.

Build up: When teacher Erin arrives at the school, she finds a group of misbehaved students who were being affected by the gangs. Erin finds it difficult to control and educate them. There are not many people who support the students, and she decides to change that.

Climax: The teacher discovers a rasist drawing made by a student and starts talking to them about the holocaust. The teacher realizes that they have lived a very hard past and gives the students a notebook where they can write down all the problems they had in the past. It also help them to express their feelings and help the teacher to understand them. 

Resolution: The end of the story is that the teacher manages to change the students' view of the world with a lot of effort. She also makes them understand that she will be there to help them with their problems.

One scene I liked in the movie was when teacher Erin plays with her students.  She tries to understand them and is very empathetic. There was a line in the middle of class, and she asks her students questions that make them think and realize all the people they have lost because of gangs. She also gives them a notebook to write down everything they experienced and how they feel.

One part of the movie that I didn't like was when teacher Erin went to the library looking for books for her students. The point is that Margaret didn't want to give her quality books for them, she say that they always ruined them and that's why they didn't give them the good books. Margaret even tells Erin that if she wants to give them good books to buy them herself.

The message of the film is that students need to be more responsible with their lives and the way they act. That everyone should work together to create an environment where everyone can feel safe. Don't let your past define your future.

If I had to rate the movie from 1 to 10 I would give it a 9. The reason is because I really liked the way the students are guided by the teacher and how she educates them and understands them. It also shows the reality in which many teenagers live and the problems they go through due to gangs.

These students have gone through all kinds of circumstances, such as: poverty, violence, drug and alcohol problems, family and friends in jail, among other things. This makes them a very difficult group to teach, because of their lack of interest and their vision of school.
But the teacher, even more convinced and enthusiastic after realizing the reality of the young people, was convinced that she could manage to teach them and guide them on a better path. To achieve her goal, she even fought with the principal.
As one of the strategies, the teacher buys some notebooks for the young people to write their own diary and in this way they have a space to unburden themselves for things they have suffered in the past. At that time there was a war of racism where they discriminated against each other, fighting for their territory, this led the young people to keep hatred with the certainty that no one understood them, this teacher did everything possible to improve the situation at the university and each one of them without having to suffer with them that situation, she never gave up and had all the patience in the world to achieve a good society and ensure a better future for young people and that is how she did it.

Erin is going pass by several obstacles including her divorce from her husband Scott. We liked that part because in spite of that she remained firm with her convictions. Which she had the support of her dad Steve. There was one girl who was a little suspicious named Eva but in the end she agreed to the teacher's good heart. There was an envious teacher who did not want the students to excel, her name was Margaret, but the teacher did many activities to teach her students to see the good things in life.

She starts working full of hope and desire to give her all at work, however, the teacher discovers the harsh reality in which her students live and notices a great division of race, ethnicity and gender. Her students live in slums and are marked by gang violence and interracial conflicts, which is why they are full of hatred and anger against each other. At school no one trusts them and in their own families they have had to witness deaths and rapes and despite his low experience and the frustration with his students, Gruwell decides to go ahead and look for different strategies that will allow him to gain everyone's trust and for each of them to trust themselves and break those barriers of hatred they have against each other. In the climax of the film, the students begin to love the teacher and to break these barriers that they have, little by little each student is coming out of his life full of hate and crimes, until they can leave in its entirety. Based on real events, "Freedom Writers" shows that with will and a lot of effort and work, barriers of hate, crimes and interracial problems can be broken.

In her class was Eva, a girl who had a very difficult childhood and has aggressive behavior as a result of the difficult situations she has gone through throughout her life. The whole class behaves aggressively with Erin, she decides to change these attitudes somehow, she begins to give them books and teach them games and arts, she begins to interact with them and get into their world to understand why they behave that way, little by little she gains their trust and the attitude of her students begins to change, they begin to get good grades and become better students.  In the end she manages to keep teaching them until they finish school and everyone is happy forever. 

 

Our moral message: no matter how difficult the situation may seem, we should never give up, in life we go through many difficult situations, but that does not mean that we should be bad people, we can always make the best of ourselves.

The film is about how a new English teacher named Erin enters a public school attended by students who, for their young age, had already had violet experiences, with weapons, and gang wars, so it was difficult to teach these young people, some of them were Eva Marcus, Jamal. Erin begins to awaken an interest in these young people for literature, with this she was able to influence them in a new way, and the students began to be more positive about their situation in order to make a change and have a better life. The message of this film is that no matter how hard the road is, you always have to continue and not give up in the face of adversity.

Mrs Erin started gaving classes in this school and notice they were not common students so she decided to start understanding their story for changing the way of the class. At the end, all the learning and advices she gave them were took and consideration by each students in their life. Scene I like: when the teacher decides to the drawing of some students and explain them what they are making with something so simple comparing with the kill of the Jewish people because of their appearance. I did not like when the alarm sounded because some people of a hand that belongs to Eva group, all students started running away from classes disturbing their learning and study time. Moral, To understand it does not matter color, race or economy to like someone or even to judge them before knowing them, the importance is to overcome your situation and try to be more comprehensive. The rate for this movie is 8 out of 10, i considered the idea to focus the movie on a real problem happening in United States even nowadays, is an example of how students should be educated and explain the importance of their own studies for their future.
