This was an event that many countries built atomic bombs for their military advantage.<br>-July 20, 1960The U.S. tests the first submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM).<br>-October 30, 1961The Soviet Union detonates Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear device in human history. The weapon yielded 57 megatons of TNT, four times larger than any nuclear device tested by the United States. The amount of explosive energy released by Tsar Bomba amounted to all of the explosives used during World War II multiplied by ten!<br>-October 16, 1962The Cuban Missile Crisis begins after surveillance photos taken by a&nbsp; U-2 flight over Cuba show Soviet Missiles on the island.<br>Soviet Union and the United States were greatly involved but Germany and Britain also wanted to create nuclear weapons.<br>Nobody won as a result it is still a constant build of nuclear weapons: Russia now has enough bombs to destroy mankind. </div>]]></description>

Kennedy the Bay of Pigs invasion was used to gain back Cuba as it seemed that a bunch of angry Cuban exiles wanted revenge and gain back their land that they were kicked out of which was a loss by the Americans.&nbsp;<br>-By 1962 Soviet Russians established nuclear weapons in Cuba.<br>This resulted in a stalemate because Americans and Russians made a treaty to abolish the use of missiles in turkey and Cuba against each other which John F.
