"What will happen to life on Earth if we don't stop global warming? Will the effect be good or bad?" is a debatable question. Some scientists say that life will thrive because all the carbon dioxide that's in the atmosphere that the plants and trees breathe in is like oxygen is to us. In other words, some scientists think that since plants and trees breathe carbon dioxide, they can take in that amount of carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen for us, but they, as other scientists think, are missing a vital fact. The carbon dioxide will eventually be too much for the plants and trees to take in. Other scientists disagree with this notion saying that the amount of carbon dioxide that we produce is too much for the plants and trees to convert to oxygen. In other words, other scientists think that that those scientists are missing a fact. The fact that the carbon dioxide will eventually be too much for the plants and trees to take in. The majority of the scientists agree that we are within 40 or so years of dying off if we don’t stop global warming, which means that many scientists think we will die in about 40 years from the effects of global warming. The answer, from what I’ve gathered, is, if we don’t stop global warming, it will help destroy ecosystems and the effects will be negative. Some reasons for this conclusion are that the amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are not going down, the arctic ice is melting, and we are deforesting the trees that help reduce the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
