She and Zeus had a daughter named Persephone. One day she were walking in the woods and saw a strange bush, and she didn't like it, so she pulled the bush off. And right after that Hades came out and kidnapped her into the underworld. When Demeter found out, she went to find Zeus. And it turn out that its a agreement between Zeus and Hades, a exchange of a new lightning bolt and Zeus's daughter Persephone. Demeter is so angry that she let the flowers and trees on earth die. and the crops vanish. People started to suffer. And at last Zeus finally agreed to get their daughter back. But there is a rule in the underworld and that is if you eat anything down there, you will have to stay there. And Persephone ate 6 seeds down there. So she has to stay with hades 6 months a year.
