Escape Route introduces us to Ryan Breslin, a renowned structural security specialist. As a job, Breslin tests the security of the prisons that are part of the US prison system by running away from each of them. In a frame, Breslin is sent to a private prison that he himself helped to create: a perfect prison impossible to escape. Now he needs to create an escape plan and find out who put him behind the bars.

The main cast is small but sufficient to mark its presence in the film. Sylvester Stallone shows his bouncing veins in the skin of intriguing Ryan Breslin who spends three to four months in a jail of his own free will. Vincent D'Onofrio is Lester Clark, a friend and associate of Breslin who suffers from OCD. Jim Caviezel plays the managing director of the jail, Hobbes. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the prisoner Rottmayer, Breslin's friend. And Sam Neill is Dr. Kyrie, a prison doctor. To characterize the environment, no one better than Vinnie Jones as the second in command Drake.

Rota de Fuga is a typical action movie: the hero - Stallone, the villain - Hobbes, the sidekick - Rottmayer. We already know what will happen next, we already know

The end, but even so, we watch, we twist, we laugh and we fight with the characters for the good. Stallone and Schwarzenegger in their classic action movie roles: masters of pounding, artillery and the mind. And of course, entitled to catch phrases.

For those who lived the era of The Terminator, Rocky and Dinosaur Park, Escape Route helps heal a little of our nostalgia. This was one of the few films I watched without knowing much about him, hardly knew who was in the cast. So there I was happy of life when the actors who were part of my childhood appeared on the big screen again - Arnold Schwarzenegger was TOP! It was an instant joy. I hope you feel the same.
