Boy, was I wrong? Once I landed in the beautiful capital Dublin at around 9:30 PM, I decided to book a hotel and sleep for the night, to be sure I would have lots of energy to explore the next day. It was beautiful shades of purple and yellow and blue. The complimentary breakfast downstairs, which was Fried eggs, Black Pudding, toast, fried tomato, beans, sausage, and more. It smelt like heaven. Once I ate and left for my journey, I noticed how beautiful the grass is. It was a lovely shade of healthy green. They have beautiful rolling lands, like a picture I never wanna look away from. The Lowlands and rolling plains were a beautiful sight, and I decided I wanted to picnic on a hill near the hotel. The weather is also cool, not too warm, nor too hot. I had thought about exploring places near Ireland, like the United Kingdom, or Scotland, but I decided against it, as I am only here for 6 days. Dublin is the capital city here and is widely populated, but everyone is so nice! As I explored, I saw lots of farming areas. They grew lots of Barley, Wheat, Beans, and Potatoes. I ate lunch, then explored the hills for the rest of the day. I went to The Brazen Head. It has a lovely variety of coffee as well as a lot of people, which made mingling easy. The people here are very kind and outgoing, they treat everyone with so much kindness! They've all been very open to teaching me the lingo here. Their language is English, which totally makes it easier. One lady gave me some recommendations on some popular tourist places. I decided to go to 3 places, because I didn't want to overwhelm myself. The first place I went was the Dublin Castle. It used to be the British government's administration until 1922, which I thought was cool. It was built by this really cool dark pool. I'd rate it 8/10, it was super interesting. The second place I went to was the National Botanic Gardens. It was so beautiful! Honestly, it was breathtaking. There were so many different types of flowers! The gardens have been there since 1795. It's also a free attraction. I would rate it 9/10 because of all the pretty flowers and smells. The last thing I did was obviously the Viking Splash Tour. This one was my favorite. Today was the day I got to try all the authentic foods from Ireland, like the Irish Stew, which was my personal favorite, Coddle, and Colcannon. I ate coddle for breakfast. Coddle is all made up of leftover food from previous meals, combined into a meal. If you do it right, It's lovely! It's usually made with potatoes, radishes, onion, herbs, and sausages. After mingling with some new friends, I went out to lunch. That's when I got to try Colcannon. Colcannon is alright, It's made of mashed potatoes with kale and cabbage. It made me feel quite energized, which helped with my travels throughout the day. Once it was time for dinner, I got to try the best thing ever. Irish Stew! Irish Stew is Lamb and vegetables, onions, parsley, and carrots! It was so good, I got 2 servings!
