P1: The Aztecs valued cocoa beans like nothing else. They loved cocoa beans so much that when you were buying an object from them you traded cocoa beans. They made a thick drink from the cocoa beans called Oxcatl it was believed to have healthy effects on their body. Also they ate the fruit that was on the cocoa plant believing it contained substances necessary for growth and health. The Aztecs thought a god named Quetzalcoatl created the cocoa plant. An object has to be pretty rare to be used as money which shows chocolate means a lot to the Aztecs. The Mayans also loved cocoa beans and were the first to plant cocoa plants. It's crazy how much the Aztecs savour cocoa beans.

P2: Art was very important to the Aztecs. They used it to praise and honor the gods. Also art made the rich and noble stand out against the poor people. Flowers were known as symbols of the beauty of life, hummingbirds represented Huitzilopochtli the sun god and eagles represented warriors. The most valued form of art was Poetry. A great sum of the poetry was about gods and mythology. The Aztecs also liked music, most of their songs were also about gods. Another form of art they valued was feather-work. Artisans would weave colourful feathers together to make phenomenal pieces of clothing and headdresses. Aztecs loved art (But not more than cocoa beans). Do you like art?

Aztecs beliefs are always so strange and interesting. One of their many beliefs is that it took the gods 5 tries to create the world. After the fifth time they tried, they realised it was because there was no sun. So the god Nanauatl sacrificed himself to be the sun. But 1 hour later the other gods realised the sun was not moving. Then they realised the only way to get it moving was to sacrifice 4 of the five gods existing. So they sacrificed each other. After they were sacrificed the sun started moving. Many years later the story still lives on. And aztecs kept sacrificing people believing if they stopped the sun would stop moving and the end of the world would begin. And that is one of many insane stories.

Aztecs were so odd when it comes to their environment. They built their capital near a volcano which is pretty stupid. First of all the capital was a lake city meaning instead of roads there was water and they traveled via (with a) boat. Second, the aztecs spread out massive, tall, piles of dirt all around to make little islands and canals. Also these island were super easy to plant crops on because they were fertile. And since they had lakes instead of roads they could catch fish shrimp and and a pasta called “ahuatle”. The capital is called Tenochtitlán. The Aztecs left Tenochtitlán about 1,000 years ago. In conclusion aztec environment is very fascinating and strange at the same time.

The Aztec language is a wonderful language to learn and is so different than English. The first fact about the Aztec language is its name is Classical Nahuatl. The next fact is that the Aztecs had 4 vowels, i, e, a and o, the Aztec also had 17 usually used consonants p, t, l, r, n, k, m, ch, x, c, s, z, ç, cu (qu), y, hu, p. Then they had different symbols that mean different things like pictograms that if it’s a tree it means tree. Next there are also ideograms a ideogram is when the symbol represents something like a snake could be a ruler, for example Itzcoatl. And another type of letters are, phonograms represent a sound. Finally the Aztecs count by 20s, don’t ask me why. In conclusion I think the Aztec language is amazing.

Aztec economics are so interesting. Aztec jobs are weird and cool! First of all, aztec jobs depended on your gender, boys could be a warrior, a farmer, a merchant, a priest or a craftsman. While girls took care of the house and children as their job. Second, your job also depended on your rank. Third, aztec merchants grew crops, sold crops and bought crops, and they were mostly involved in the trading system. Fourth, aztec warriors would battle in wars and against other civilizations. Also, the emperor awarded surviving warriors (if they won the battle) food health and wealth. Last but not least, the farmers. The farmers would grow crops for the merchants and their family. The crops were a great variety of foods. Chili peppers, cocoa beans, onions tomatoes and beans. Sweet and spicy, spicy and sweet, veggies and fruit the crops were all over the place, beans and carrots, corn and beets all so yummy and sometimes sweet. Would you like to have an Aztec job? If so what job? If not, explain why you would not like to have an Aztec job. What are the pros of an Aztec job? Cons?

There were many important Aztec people in the Aztec history, these are a few. First there is Tizoc, Tizoc was one of the weakest rulers in Aztec history, he literally made 1 achievement in 5 years!! Upgrading his castle. Next I will tell you about Montezuma II he was also an Aztec ruler, He was often referred to as Cortez. Then Acamapichtli, he was the first - ruler or king or Nahuatl in the Aztec language - of the Aztecs. Finally I will tell you about Huitzilihuitl he had 3 memorable things he did, he, finished the construction of the city, introduced the use of canoes in war and conquered Xilotepec, Tepotzotlán, Tollan, Cuauhtitlan, and Cuauhximalpan. I think that these are many important facts about many different important people.

The Aztec government is a very organized thing. First a form of government of the Aztecs is an Empire. There were 3 requirements for a new emperor: Age 30+ Educated at an elite school and an experienced warrior and military leader. Also when a leader dies sons or brothers vote for each other to become a leader . Finally a noble family controlled each city. I think that the Aztec government is very interesting. .

The Aztec social system was a very important thing in the Aztec Empire’s rule. First they had 3 classes in social ranking nobles, commoners and slaves/serfs. First the noble class consisted of government and military leaders, high level priests, and lord (tecuhtli), the noble class also was passed on with male and female lineages. Priests had their own ranking class, they were also refrained on alcohol if failed they would be severely punished or sacrificed. Then there’s the commissioner class had these 4 types of Aztecs farmers, artisans, merchants and low-level priests. Finally there’s serfs and slaves serfs were just serfs there was 0 reason at all why they were serfs but slaves on the other hand were prisoners of war that were not sacrificed also if you were sold 3 times you were sacrificed. I think that the social structure is very interesting.

Aztec daily life is so interesting. First of all the rich had houses made of sun-dried brick. Also they had a separate room in their houses for a steam bath. Bathing was a very important part of Aztec’s daily life. They took baths every day! The poor were normally farmers and had no servers or slaves. They could never carry anything made of feathers and had to wear simple clothes. The punishment if a poor person is carrying something made of feathers is they are killed. All people including children had to act a certain way or they would be killed. The Aztecs honored athletic ability and loved poetry. Their poetry reflected their daily life. Aztec daily life is so interesting.

First if you were a rich noble you would have slaves or prisoners of war that were not sacrificed the homes were made with white wash to have sparkling aspects in the sun. Then there was the poor Aztecs were normally farmers who had to work all the time, they had a very small amount of furniture and some blankets and cooking pots they also had gardens for food. Next there was a set code of behaviour that they had to obey or they would be killed. Last but definitely not least the Aztec had wonderful athletic skill and loved to play dangerous sports and also write poetry, their poetry had some topics that they would write about, for example war. All in all I think that the Aztec daily life is a super interesting topic.
