         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>1.LEVER-Well, a <strong><em>first-class lever</em></strong> is a stick where the <strong><em>fulcrum</em></strong> is in between the weight and the energy moving the weight (your hands, for example). Some common first-class levers are <a href="https://quatr.us/games-2/kind-games-people-play-history-games.htm">see-saws</a>, crowbars, and pliers. A pair of scissors . Some common second-class levers are doors, staplers, <a href="https://quatr.us/central-asia/wheel-axle-simple-machines-physics.htm">wheelbarrows</a>, and can openers.<br><br>2. A major application is in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheeled_vehicle">wheeled vehicles</a>, in which the wheel and axle are used to reduce <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friction">friction</a> of the moving vehicle with the ground. Other examples of devices which use the wheel and axle are <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capstan_(nautical)">capstans</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belt_drive">belt drives</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gear">gears</a>.<br><br></div>]]></description>
