Shutter Speed Questions:

1. To change the camera to be shutter speed quality, first I used a tri pod to steady the camera, so there were no added movements in the slower speeds. Second, I focused the camera on the girl, and with the dial in the right corner of the camera I changed the shutter speed. I went to the very slowest speed and went up from there.

2. According to what I saw, the faster the shutter speed, the more it increased focus. In the slower shutter speeds, the camera allowed in more light and all you could see was the movement of the girl jumping. As the speed increased, the picture became more focused on her in air. It also eliminated that extra light as she moved. The faster the speed the more steady the picture, almost like the person or object is not moving at all.

3. Shutter speed is something I'd use often because you can eliminate the chance of bad quality pictures. If you are trying to take a picture of an animal running, or rain drops falling, and your goal is to capture it in such precision that it looks like it's standing still, you will have to use shutter speed. If you don't the picture will most likely no turn out how you wanted, or you will have too much other movement in the picture. I personally would use shutter speed the majority of the time, because the quality of the picture is better and closer to what we see in real life.
