2. Bloom's Taxonomy leveled-thinking. Picking the right level of learning is just as important as aligning the assessment to the objective. 
3. Simple, concise instructions. It benefits everyone (including ELLs and struggling students) when the instructions are displayed, everyone reads them out loud, we discuss the process, and practice the process. That way, students are more comfortable in working by themselves. 
4. Physical movement. Students have a lot of energy, so why not use it?
