After reading the article “Redefining the Teacher’s Role in Education through Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)” by Haci Hasan Yolcu, I understand that AGI is a very advanced type of artificial intelligence that can think and learn like a human. The article says that AGI can help teachers by giving students personalized learning, fast feedback, and support in many tasks. It can be used to improve how we teach and how students learn.

Even if AGI is very powerful, the teacher is still very important. The teacher is not just someone who gives information. Now, with AI tools, the teacher becomes a guide, a helper, and someone who motivates students. The teacher can use AI to save time and focus more on helping students understand, speak, and feel more confident in class.

In the future, the role of the English teacher will change. The teacher will work with AI to make classes more fun and personal for each student. But the teacher must still teach values, communication, and culture—things that AI cannot do. I think English teachers should learn to use AI tools, but always keep the human connection in the classroom, because learning needs real support from teachers. It is based on experiences, shared moments between students and teachers, close communication, teamwork, and the use of AGI as a support to reinforce ideas, knowledge, and teaching methods that make the class stronger—not to replace the teacher.
