I found it very interesting that they had to harvest water as it was too cold to just have bodies of water so they had to mine ice and melt it inside their heated homes.

Another interesting aspect of their estranged lifestyle is that if they run behind on chopping their wood or the supply dwindles they will freeze to death. They also have to rely mainly on hunting fish for food so they basically live from hunt to hunt and if they hit a dry spell that could spell the end of their days.

This all reinforces my point that Yakutia is only for the strong and perseverant and if you aren't then TURN BACK.
