The landscape is simply composed of bare rocks, signs of volcanic action. This town is located in a valley. Two hills surround this village, one is composed by an immense bed of lava that goes down through the sea and the other is the Faxa Bay. At the north of this Bay, there is the big glacier of Snaefell. The village is only divided in two main streets parallel with the beach, one of those is occupied by merchants and traders that are living in wooden cabins made of red planks set horizontally. On the other street, we can observe running west that ends at a little lack and many other non-commercial residents. Like many other cities, Rejkavik has a cemetery near a Protestant’s church and a governor's house. In Icelandic, men/boys are wearing a coarse jacket black, call “vadmel, a hat, red pants with narrow at the edge and some leather shoes. For the women, dress and dark skirt are their clothes and for the young women, they were braided hair with a knitted brown cap.
