My Pop's dad came to Australia from England around 1920 because he couldn't find any work in England. Before he left for good he bought a teapot for his mother to remember him. This was the last time he saw his mother (his father died when he was young). Fast forward to World War 2, the house Pop's mother as living in was bombed and completely destroyed (everyone survived they got out early). After the war was over the family went back to the house to see if the teapot was still intact. Everything was destroyed except for this box with the teapot in it, completely intact. Fast forward to the 1970s Pop made it his mission to discover his family's origin (his Dad died when he was young) so he went to England and was able to meet up with Grandmother and her family (Pop's dad's mother who has the teapot). They had a great time together and when Pop came back to Australia his Grandmother forgot to give him the teapot she was intending to give to him as it was originally bought by his Dad.
