After almost two weeks in Guadeloupe it is difficult to look back as the end of the course comes quickly. I expected some nice and warm days on a tropical island and I hoped to have an idea of the lifestyle on this caribbean island. 

Actually all my expectations are topped and I make a lot of great and unique experiences thanks to Rita and all the people we met during our activities. To talk to the local people like Marie-Laure, George, Willian and the teachers and pupil in school gave me the possibility to learn about their culture and their way of life with is much more combined to the nature than ours in Europe. There was always a warm and friendly atmosphere in our group. It is a joy to learn from the other participants  and to change thoughts. 

The most amazing fact is the excellent choice of the classrooms offering the opportunities to visit Guadeloupe to see a lot of great places (beaches, rain forest, Kreole gardens, school, mangroves). With the self study and the theory work to the international curriculum we learned a lot and in the same moment we visited a lot of cultural places.

Thank you for the exceptional organisation to Rita and Michel. I really appreciate the course and I am sure coming back again. 

Guadeloupe has been a stunning place to attend a course! The outdoor classrooms have been in beautiful settings. The cultural experiences have allowed us to find out more about this wonderful country and I have enjoyed the opportunity to learn french. The course has been organised exceptionally well. The teaching and resources have been so thorough and detailed. 

The course has provided lots of special memories, laughs, wonderful experiences and new learning.

From day one at our first classroom on the beach where we had an international lunch, the foods and drinks from our country we all got on really well which made this experience all the more enjoyable. 

Having 5 different countries represented gave another dimension to a multi perspective view on our discussions, views and ideas.

Everyday we went to a different location on the island,  each one beautiful, from the organic gardens, the beaches to the waterfalls. Each place took my breath away, I was loving being in these stunning place to study and then soon realised there was an underlying reason for Rita choosing these places, not just because they are beautiful, there was always a link to that days learning which embedded the learning more. ( Tell me and I forget. show me and I remember. Involve me and I understand.

With her calm organised approach Rita made the course enjoyable, giving us an insight into Guadeloupean life, history and culture leading to meaningful multi perspective discussions which made you reflect and evaluate what you do.

I also admire my fellow colleagues as the course was in english and they had to interpret and process the material.

Michel was always helpful and entertaining often testing and correcting our spoken French as well as an excellent barbecue chef. Between him and Rita they gave us an enriching experience. The group from Germany, Poland, Greece, Lithuania and U.K. all bonded really well which made this experience all the more enjoyable... global colleges now global friends and school connections.

The course made me reflect on our school and all international work we do and I am extremely proud. I already do a lot of work linked with the U.N Global goals and now I have lots of new ideas to take back. 

Thank you Rita you are an inspiration and thank you beautiful people of Guadeloupe who welcomed us with open arms into their amazing cultural land.
