Song: Watch your back by Benny Cassette

This is a good theme song for Macbeth because it shows how you have to always watch your back. Macbeth killed a lot of people who he considered to be friends. He was trying to get power and he did not care who was in his way. If you were standing in his way then he was going to kill you just so he could be king. In the song it says you can not intimidate men like me. This is true because he was not scared of any man and could not be killed of any man born from a woman.

“Based on all the works we have read, how does having power lead someone to corruption?”

Based on all the works we have read, power leads someone someone to corruption because they will never be satisfied with what they have. They will always want more and more power. Power is a symbol of strength and in these stories they seem to think that the more power they have the stronger it makes them. This is present in almost every story. For example, in Ozymandias he wanted more and more power and this led to the downfall of his empire which was thought to be the biggest empire of all time. To conclude this power leads someone to corruption because they are never satisfied with the success that they already have. They always want to be more successful or have more followers or power. Power leads to corruption because of the fact that they were never satisfied and always wanted more.
