The WHO states that Ebola was introduced into the human population through the secretions, blood, organs, or other bodily fluids of many different animals other than bats; like monkeys, chimpanzees, gorillas, forest antelope, and porcupines.The virus is transmitted through blood, feces, vomit, breast milk, urine, semen, and any other bodily secretions. Ebola is not spread through the air. It is spread from human to human contact or direct contact with the infected. Broken skin or the mucous membrane is how someone may come into contact with EVD.
