To get engagement, remember the audience you are trying to engage and what they like. To keep them engaged, make things challenging but still able to be done. To make it overall an engaging thing, make the activity fun and for them to have choices that will keep them engaged and make them think well of the activity.

Starting out the lesson by having the children connect to something fun they did. Doing a kahoot that challenges their knowledge. Playing a game as an activity. Kahoots are very useful in that they are a short quiz that has students compete for points and the top place.

Having a lesson where you demonstrate an idea from different angles. Having the directions be in Spanish as well as English on the digital instructions. Start the lesson by having an idea connected to what you just learned. Having any type of instructions that have multiple languages is very good for giving the students that can read both languages a good understanding of what they should do.

Read their answers and as long as they proved their understanding, giving them a good grade. Have tools that explain knowledge available and talk about bias against people that come from wrong knowledge. Have objectives in a place they can always be seen. Putting the directions in a place such as slides to present is very good for having the students know what is expected and what they should have achieved by the end of a lesson.
