Aztecs made floating gardens called "Chinampas". They made them by rafts that were anchored to the bottom of the lake then they piles up vegetables and groups of plants to help provide good soil and removing water. Sometimes it was difficult to harvest food since the garden was floating. Aztecs engineers solve the problem by building mud and stone walls.

Aztecs believed that being sick was caused by something whether sickness was a punishment, black magic could be used by an enemy, and sickness may have been from natural causes. They believed in god or goddess because of this. When the Aztecs had a cold, fevers, swelling, and coughs they would use herbs and plants to make medicine and heal them. By using the herbs and plants they would rub the plant together on the sick patient's body to relieve pain and aches to feel better.

Also bridges were built into the causeways so that it would allow canoes to travel under them.
