         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Civil Rights movement was a movement in which several activist made multiple non violent protests against discrimination. This movement lasted from 1955 to 1968. Some of the key activists who made non-violent protests were Martin Luther King junior, Andrew Goodman, Rosa Parks and Malcolm X. These activists helped fight for equal rights through protests such as the Montgomery bus boycott, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Birmingham and the march on Washington, the Selma to Montgomery march, and the "I have a dream speech". These were all acts made for equality rights and the key activists were the leaders were crucial to the protests and helped America have the equal rights we have now with people of color today.<br><br>Kenneth:</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Feminism is the advocacy of women's right on the ground for political, social, and economic equality to men. Women's equal rights advocates like Gloria Steinem, Susan Brownmiller and Kate Millett emerged and became the faces and voices for a generation. The ERA short for the equal rights amendment states "equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the united states or by any state on account of sex." 3 years after women had the right to vote.This started in the 1960s through the 1970s.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Black Lives Matter is a chapter-based national organization originating in the African American&nbsp; working for the validity of Black Life. It was created in 2012 by three African American sisters. Their names are Alicia Garza, Opal Tometti, and Patrisse Cullors. It was created because of the tragic death of beloved son Trayvon martin and 18 year old Mike Brown.Its about freedom equal rights for all races and police brutality. &nbsp;<br><br><br>comment: 😲i never knew that black lives matter was made by 3 sisters in 2012</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Activism is the policy or action of using vigerous campaigning to bring about political or social change. The activist in this video is Boniface Mwangi. Mwangi fought for the people's rights like how they were raped, killed, etc for no reason.          <description><![CDATA[<div>LGBTQ is a gay and transgender rights movement. It started in June 27, 1969. There were many major events surrounding the movement, such as the Stonewall Riot, the founding of The Daughters Of Bilitis, which is the first lesbian rights organization in the US, and the legalization of gay marriage in Illinois. The legalization of Illinois, was of course set in Illinois, and the Stonewall riot was in Greenwich Village, New York. The founding of The Daughters of Bilitis was in San Francisco, California.<br><br><br><br><br>We thought this was really interesting because gay and lesbian marriage has been illegal for a long time.</div>]]></description>
