• Not appropriate for CAMHS

This classification is made by the relevant consultant or the referral committee and it sets out the time frame in which contact should be made with the parents.

Urgent referrals should be responded to within three working days after receiving the referral, or as soon as possible based on the level of risk. The common reason for this is that there is no evidence of a moderate to severe mental disorder present.
