I always tell my students: Strive to do your best. Put your heart into it and you'll see you get better. "Aim for the moon. If you miss you'll land among the stars"- I tell them I do not expect everyone to get a 100 on a test, but I do expect them all to do their best and that thing alone will help them be at a better spot from where they are now... And that I'm there to help them.

(I saw on the Word file that you wanted us to share what led us to this course etc. So I've been teaching for 6 years now and this year was my first year as an English coordinator in elementary school in Bet El. I also teach JH. I used the ABLE kit for the first time at the beginning of this year with my 5th grade and felt that I needed more guidance especially with the second part for individual learners. The Corona has effected many of the students and I feel I don't know enough how to help the most struggling kids.

When something is difficult you should be happy since it means that you're learning something new.

The fear of making mistakes and of being judged as unclever is probably the main factor in hindering language learners from using it. Once they understand that making mistakes is OK and that it is a natural part of the learning process, they will be motivated to use it more often. This practice and production of the targetted language will surely result in better learning.

I believe a smile is contagious and has the power to attract students and open them up to learning process.

I teach JH and HS students. I feel this hishtalmut is very relevant to older students because every year I meet students from 7 to 10 grade that still haven't acquired the full reading skill.
