One of the reasons Presidential Power has grown is because of the media and the fast growing social media. Everything is everywhere, right this second. Regardless if it is true or false. Also, the media puts out ONLY what they want you to see and how they want you to see it. It seems that every opposing view is made out to be the enemy. This creates issues that are not there. People end up fighting for a cause that isn't what it seems. Its sad. This puts the president in a "he can save us all" type of position. When really, he cant. He doesn't have as much power as people think.

Now a days, things are a little different compared to when the United States government was created and built. Phones, cameras, television, planes, cars, tablets, hover boards, plumbing systems, shopping malls, and many other things have become popular in the past 240 years. One reason that the Presidential Powers have changed is because the founding fathers built the government with the executive branch to be the least powerful and for the congress to be the most powerful. Even in the beginning there were controversial decisions that had specific needs such as Abraham Lincoln in the Civil War making decisions and Thomas Jeffersons decisions on the Louisiana Purchase. Now since the United States is the super power of the world, the president is the most powerful person on the planet which comes with massive executive decisions that depend on the situation, not what the constitution says about a situation.
