We chose this song as we needed to do an 80's song and this was one of the only songs that we could do with the limited group we had.

In my opinion this was one of the worst songs I've sang this year as I don't like my lower pitched singing voice but I had to use it for the chorus for a harmony with Melissa so I had to use it for the verse as well as it would sound out of place for my voice to suddenly change.

For this song I had to practice vocal harmonies.

I chose to do this song as I needed a 2000's song, I know this song of by heart and I knew there would be a lot of karaoke versions of the song.

I loved performing this song and in my opinion the rapping and enthusiasm shows that I much prefer my lower pitched voice in rap songs instead of songs like Don't Stop Believing as I feel they fit more with rap.

For this song I had to practice my breathing as for rap you need to be able to take a quick breath and use it for more than you would in a pop song as during some lyrics there are no breaks to breathe.

The group consisted of me, Truman, Kirsten and Connor.

We wrote this original as we all needed to do a seventies song. In my opinion this song fits into the seventies because the subject matter was about returning home from the Vietnam War.

I didn't like performing this as much as Gold Digger but it was fun to perform as I got to use percussion and sing instead of only singing which meant I had to keep a beat throughout the whole song. The beat had to be simplistic enough for me to perform it but not so simple that it actually sounded good and was a good challenge for me to play and I think I did a good job as a simplistic drum beat can make a song more emotional, especially in a sad song,which this song is, such as in Good Night by Kanye West. The added challenge of having to balance an instrument and singing was fun for me.

For this song I had to practice my drumming in lesson to find a beat that would work with the different parts of the song.

I didn't really like performing this song as with the time allotted I hadn't learnt the vocal timing and melody of my singing part well enough and I just feel that the music didn't suit my vocals.

For this song I had to practice getting used to unusual vocal timings and melodies like in songs such as Where Is My Mind by The Pixies.
