I had commissioned the artist Sean Izaakse in 2007 to help me create an original symbiote medic hero and this image was a rough sketch of Anodyne. This is likely what many folks recognize as Anodyne and it was his look for more than a decade. Many folks say that he looks like Deadpool and I'm not saying that's totally off base but I think this design has more in common with Spider-Man, especially the hip slashes and angular eyes.
