1. Describe the skills required to be a GIS analyst?
A GIS analyst must have strong technical ability in using GIS software platforms and remote sensing, including experience with satellite imagery, aerial photography, and other approaches. Next, having strong data management skills, which include Data collection, where we able to gather and validate geospatial data from various sources. Data integration: Capable of collecting and validating geographical data from a variety of sources. Data quality and the ability to integrate heterogeneous data from many sources and formats into a cohesive GIS database: knowing a problem with data quality and how to keep accurate geospatial data. Other than that, they are able to design a map that have creative visual appealing and informative maps using appropriate cartographic visuals such as choropleth maps, heat maps 3D maps and interactive web maps.

2. Explain the importance of spatial analysis in real world modeling?

Real-world modelling in a variety of professions and sectors requires spatial analysis to provide a deeper grasp of complex linkages and interactions. It aids epidemiology and public health, optimises transportation and logistics, plans utilities and infrastructure, and identifies the best locations for tasks like placing retail stores, building infrastructure, and deploying emergency services. It also helps with resource allocation, assessing environmental impact, and planning utilities and infrastructure. The management of natural disasters, the modelling of climate change, marketing and business intelligence, archaeology and cultural heritage, crime analysis and public safety, real estate and property value, property valuation, wildlife conservation, and social sciences are other fields that benefit from spatial analysis. Spatial analysis is always developing, helping to provide more accurate and insightful real-world modelling as technology progresses.

3. Why GIS is essential to help on decision making on climate change forecasting?

Due to its capability to combine, analyse, and visualise geographical data connected to the Earth's environment, GIS is crucial in predicting climate change. It allows for the spatial analysis of climate data, the visualisation of complex data, the assessment of impacts and vulnerability mapping, the simulation and modelling of scenarios, the planning of infrastructure and land use, the management of natural resources, the formulation and communication of policies, the preparation and response to emergencies, and international cooperation. GIS enables decision-makers to make better informed decisions to reduce the effects of climate change and strive towards a more sustainable future by assisting them in understanding the complex relationships between climatic variables, human activities, and the environment. We can reduce the effects of climate change and move towards a more sustainable future by utilising GIS technology.
