<title>1. Vygotsky&#39;s zone of proximal development was a construct in his theory of learning and development. The ZPD is said to be the area between what a learner can do without the need of a teacher and what a learner can do with help or collaboration with more of his peers. </title>

<title>While being on ZPD the student and the teachers play different roles. The students are meant to be engaged in learning a lot of new skills or concepts with being assisted with there teacher or a peer, while the teacher is meant to provide help to the student within there current learning capabilities and allowing them to be more solo as they start to learn and perfect the skill.</title>

<title>2. One activity that will be a good use while a teacher is helping a student to pass through the ZPD is a scavenger hunt. I would use a scavenger hunt as a activity because as a teacher you provide the student with less support as the student starts to understand and then starts breaking down the problem into smaller steps, giving hints and prompts and then it allows the student to work freely towards the solutions.</title>
