I was a competitive dancer from age 5-18 and spent majority of my free time training at the studio. I learned how to count music and how to interpret themes of dance. I was baptized into the church when I was a baby. When I was old enough I made the conscious decision to continue practicing and following the catholic faith as an adult. My great grandma who we lived with at the time owned a beautiful grand piano that I loved to senselessly bang on. When she passed away she wanted someone in the family to carry on her talent on the piano and she thought that person should be me. This is where my infatuation with cooking began. As I grew older I realized reading recipes is a large part of the cooking process. Growing up with two parents in the health care industry brought a lot of knowledge to my attention from a young age. I sat at the dinner table and listened to my parents talk about their work days at the hospital. Listening to their conversations gave me health care terminology I would not know if I hadn't heard so much growing up.
