Malden is a northern suburb of Boston, and it's easy to access the city. The population is around 65,000 inhabitants and is diverse. The ethnic makeup is 41% White, 25% Asian, 15% Black, 7% from other races, and 7% multi-racial.

I live in a residential community with a three-story townhouse located off Eastern Avenue (Route 60). Residents rent their apartments based on their income.

The streets are very clean, and there is no pollution burden. The area is tranquil, and Malden Police is alert 24 hours a day. Noise is prohibited. Parking is available inside and outside the properties. Car owners pay an excise fee annually.

A public park in my Community

The neighborhood is well-maintained. Wastes are stored and transported regularly. People have access to some green spaces inside and outside the properties. In this picture, one of the public parks is used for walking, exercising, jogging, playing soccer, and partying when the weather is clement. In the summertime, barbecues and other community events are held there.

This restaurant buffet is very much appreciated by the Haitian community in Malden. It offers free parking, convenient fares, and plenty of seats. It's the favorite destination for events such as funerals and nuptial receptions.

Prices have doubled after COVID-19. I paid $130.00 for the items in this cart. Low-income residents struggle to afford their rent, and food insecurity is a significant issue in my community. Organizations like Bread of Life and the Malden YMCA Food Market offer activities to combat these challenges, including food pantries, grocery delivery, and other support services.

Melrose-Wakefield Hospital

Malden doesn't have a hospital. The closest one is Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, a few miles away. I was there on my walkabout.

My community faces public health challenges, such as mental health, food insecurity, and unemployment, but it has some resources to address these problems.

Medical providers are available for those who possess health insurance. Healthcare costs continue to increase, and at the pharmacy, you need good coverage to pay for your prescriptions.

At the Laboratory for a testosterone test on Friday, March 14th, 2025. The bloodwork was recommended by my urologist in Woburn.
