         <description><![CDATA[<div>  Texas had fought several battles for their freedom and they were about to do it again.  Mexico wanted Texas but Texas wanted to be free from Mexico and the small town of San Antonio was about to prove that point and bite the bullet.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>  From previous wars for independence their where not many men left to help fight so the Alamo would let anyone who could or would fight, fight.  Whole entire family's lived in the Alamo and a few famous people you might know including Davy Crockett.          <title>1836-&quot;Remember the Alamo!!&quot;     </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>  It was February 22, 1836 and 5,000 Spanish soldiers had just marched into San Antonio under  Santa Anna's order ready to attack!       February 23, 1836 and everything was set the Spanish troops moved in closer so no one could escape!  May 6, 1836 the Spanish army attacked!  With in just a few hours all the troops in the Alamo where dead!  Including Davy Crockett who shot numerous men just seconds before he died when he had already been shot.  Just before the Spanish attacked the Alamo the battle cry " remember the ALAMO!" was heard and it still inspires people today!<br><br> Picture of the battle of the Alamo</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>  Even though Texas did not win the battle of the Alamo the battle was still very important.  The battle of the Alamo was a very big key factor in Texas becoming a free state later that year.
